This Allure cover kind of pissed me off. For one, I actually think it’s a pretty, “makeunder” photo of Sofia Vergara, but Allure just killed the soft, feminine image with too much text and that yellow “ALLURE”. Also, it kind of pisses me off that Sofia got her boobs out again. I mean, it’s difficult for her to hide them away, but why did Allure choose the “Sofia is falling out of her dress” photo for the cover?
And then there’s the cover line… “32F and Proud.” Thus far, I haven’t found any interview excerpts, but I think we can safely say that Sofia talked about her breasts again in this interview – she always talks about them. It’s fine. I know it’s annoying, but those of us with giant racks do think about it a lot. I’m thinking about my giant rack right now as I’m typing. I’m thinking about how my back hurts from lugging around these girls. I guess Sofia is the same… they’re always on her mind. I just have to say one thing though… I don’t think she’s a 32F. I believe her cup size might be somewhere around there, but I doubt she’s a 32 around her ribcage. No disrespect – she’s got an incredible body. But my guess is that she’s closer to a 34 or a 36. And I really hope she didn’t utter the line, “I’m 32F and PROUD!”
Meanwhile, did you follow the Modern Family salary dispute? It was interesting for several reasons – one, Modern Family is a HUGE network hit and ABC and 20th Century Fox (who produces the show) really wants to keep the cast happy. It’s surprising that the salary issue wasn’t worked out behind-the-scenes, before it came to a head last week when the cast (just the six adult actors – Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson) walked out of their first script reading of the season. They filed a lawsuit to void their contracts and 20th Century Fox – negotiating with the proverbial gun to their heads – folded. Reportedly, the cast will now make “as much as $175,000 per person per episode, with bonuses, along with a cut of back-end profits.” And all they had to do was sign on to an eighth season. Not bad. It was really smart of the cast to negotiate as a team – that’s why the cast of Friends ended up making so much money per episode too, because it was all or nothing with them.
